Oct 26, 2023. #2. I recently was in the same situation had a lot of 28 to 30 inch oak to cut. My "big" saw was a 362 20 inch bar. Took a hard look at husky 572 and echo 7310 and 462 500. Down to 462 and 500 all videos they seem pretty close cutting speed. The 500 had a 25 light bar and 462 regular 24 or 25.

If your really interested in just the 311 or the 391 and can afford either one get the 391. They are basicly the exact same saws with the 391 having more power. The power is why it cost more, other than they are the same. Power wise the 391 is nipping right the the heals of the 362.Do that a few times and yes, you'll have to lean hard on the saw to get it to cut, and your chain will be smoking. By the way, you should NEVER lean on the saw like that. Good way to get hurt badly. The saw should always cut like its new (pulling itself into the wood and throwing big chips).Colorado. That saw was last produced around 2008 and represents the last actual pro model saw that Poulan ever produced. It is 54cc and far superior to anything else built in that class such as MS290 and 455 Rancher. It has split cases, adjustable oiler, and very solid construction.
